Homes Due for a First Replacement

Homes here built after the Cedar Avenue bridge opened are usually getting their first roof and Window Replacement. Seven in ten homes here were built between 1970 and 1999, most of them after that bridge was finished in 1980, so a colonial in Deerwood or a walkout in Thomas Lake is often still on its original shingles and Windows, which is worth checking.

What Storm Season Leaves Here

A tornado has crossed the city before. On August 27, 2022, a tornado tracked across Duckwood Drive and Lexington Avenue, with two more touchdowns in Apple Valley and on the Burnsville line the same night. Cedar Grove has the older 1960s and 1970s homes on the west side. Blackhawk and Wescott have late-1980s and 1990s homes on bigger lots, and the trees of Lebanon Hills shade and drop leaves on the properties south of Diffley Road.
